Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will support dental practitioners in providing exceptional patient care within a modern dental clinic. This role involves assisting with various dental procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring compliance with infection control standards. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of dental terminology, documentation of records, and be proficient in using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Experience in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry is highly valued. Our office also utilizes digital technology to better serve our patients. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques. Capture and process digital X-rays and operate 3D intraoral scanners for accurate diagnostic imaging. Manage patient records using electronic systems such as Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and maintaining aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Record vital signs and medical history to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions. Assist with medical imaging procedures and ensure proper documentation of all treatments performed. Support front desk operations as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries related to dental procedures and billing. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols. Support dental procedures by demonstrating patience and effective communication with all patients. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred, especially with general dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics procedures. Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar electronic records systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, dental coding, and dental documentation practices is essential. Experience with X-ray technology, 3D scanners, CAD/CAM, 3D printing, and imaging techniques is advantageous. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques is required for success in this role.
