Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and support to our dental professionals. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in facilitating smooth operations within the clinic, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care in a welcoming environment. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use. Perform X-ray imaging and medical imaging procedures while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records and medical documentation efficiently using our PMS Eaglesoft. Conduct chairside assisting duties, including taking vital signs and providing support during examinations and treatments. Educate patients on post-treatment care, oral hygiene practices, and preventive measures to maintain their dental health. Uphold infection control standards by implementing aseptic techniques and maintaining cleanliness throughout the clinic. Collaborate with the front office to schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and address any inquiries or concerns. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is essential, with familiarity in general dentistry being highly desirable. Proficient knowledge of dental terminology, and infection control practices is required. Experience with dental coding, records management, and understanding of dental terminology is beneficial but not required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in Coronal Polishing and Sealants & relevant training is required.
