Job Summary This job requires skilled chairside assisting with dental implant procedures. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prosthodontist/Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced prosthodontics practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of surgical prosthodontic procedures, excellent patient communication skills, and proficiency with various dental software systems including Denticon, iTero, and Sidexis. Compensation is negotiable depending on skill and qualifications. Duties Assist the Prosthodontist in delivering advanced restorative and prosthetic treatments, including implants, crowns, bridges, and dentures. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols using aseptic techniques. Conduct chairside assisting during procedures, including taking vital signs, medical imaging, and handling dental materials. Operate and maintain digital imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and X-ray machines, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records using Denticon while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing medical records. Educate patients on treatment plans, post-operative care, and oral health maintenance tailored to pediatric or general dentistry needs. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure infection control standards are upheld and that all clinical procedures meet regulatory guidelines. Assist in the integration of new dental technologies and procedures related to prosthodontics and endodontics. Requirements A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of prosthodontics and general dentistry Ability to travel to locations in DC, Arlington, and McLean with the prosthodontist's team. Experience operating X-ray equipment and 3D scanners for diagnostic purposes. Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and medical imaging procedures relevant to dental care.
