Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. Being flexible & unreliable issues a must Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Obtain vital signs and medical histories to support comprehensive patient assessments. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-operative care, and oral hygiene practices. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Operate advanced imaging equipment such as 3D scanners when necessary for treatment planning. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation or records as needed. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines. Requirements Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred; familiarity with general dentistry procedures is essential. Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while following radiation safety protocols. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus; familiarity with pediatric-specific procedures is advantageous. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques, sterilization processes, and infection prevention standards. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members. Certification or training in dental assisting is required; additional knowledge in endodontics or prosthodontics is beneficial.
