Duties: - Assist orthodontists with patient exams, treatment, and other procedures. - Prepare patients for treatment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment, and taking x-rays and other medical imaging like 3D intraoral scans. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality standards. - Support orthodontic procedures, including fabricating appliances and adjusting retainers. - Assist with patient education, providing information about treatment options, oral hygiene, and post-treatment care. - Participate in sterilization and infection control procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment. - Pay is commensurate with experience. Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Post-secondary education in dental assisting or a related field is required. - Experience assisting in an orthodontics required. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude. - Willingness to continue to learn. - Adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards. - Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies, as needed.
