Position Summary As a Dental Hygienist, you will work alongside our dentists and clinical team to provide dental cleanings and education on proper oral hygiene techniques. Primary Responsibilities: Prepare treatment room for patients Maintain instruments and sterilization Patient screening procedures; review patient health history Remove calculus and plaque from all surfaces of teeth Apply preventative materials to teeth (i.e. fluorides) Review oral hygiene strategies and directives with patients (i.e. brushing, flossing, etc.) Counsel patients about good nutrition and impact on oral health Perform documentation and office management activities Secondary Responsibilities: Take dental radiographs Maintain dental supplies inventory hygiene procedures Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending CE workshops Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of practice experience with prior leadership or mentoring experience in a clinical setting Active and unrestricted state dental hygiene license A commitment to providing patient-centered care that integrates oral health with overall health and well-being Strong ethical grounding in patient care and confidentiality A proactive attitude and willingness to participate actively in continual improvement of the clinic’s operations Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Application Question(s): This is an onsite position and requires the incumbent to work at the Oakland, CA (zip code 94612) location M-F, 8-5 PM.
