Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform comprehensive dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining optimal oral health for patients of all ages. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, infection control protocols, and patient education, ensuring a comfortable and professional environment for our patients. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is preferred, along with knowledge of pediatric dentistry and general dentistry practices. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans Document treatment procedures accurately Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures and provide support during dental treatments Review medical records for accurate documentation review and ensure compliance with medical coding standards Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to deliver comprehensive patient care in a pediatric or general dentistry setting Qualifications Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations Proven experience working in dental offices or clinics, with familiarity in dental terminology and documentation review Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, anatomy, and medical imaging procedures Excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral health and treatment options Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patients' oral health while advancing your professional skills in a supportive environment.
