Registered Dental Hygienist Needed Young, modern dental office seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team in 4S Ranch for 3–4 days per week, with the potential to increase to 5 days in the future. We are a personable, private practice that prioritizes the patient’s experience. We emphasize patient education and encourage our staff to stay up to date with continuing education, lunch-and-learns, presentations, and dental conventions. Ideal candidates will have experience with Open Dental, Cavitron ultrasonics, diode lasers, intraoral photography, and digital X-ray technology. Candidates should be up to date on all terminology and comfortable with all types of cleaning procedures and coding. The hygienist will be responsible for seeing 6–10 patients per day. Must be punctual, detail-oriented, able to multitask, flexible with hours, and committed to maintaining infection control and OSHA protocols. In addition to prophylaxis and scaling/root planing, our hygiene staff provides chlorhexidine treatments, fluoride varnishes, and occasional sealant placements. Average adult recall patients are scheduled for one hour, which may include periodontal probing and/or check-up radiographs when indicated, and 30–45 minutes for children. Hygienists schedule their own follow-up appointments to allow appropriate time for individual patient needs (e.g., 45 minutes for 3-month recalls, 75 minutes for more complex patients, etc.). All scaling and root planing patients receive a 4–6-week recall to evaluate treatment efficacy and are referred to specialists if no improvement is observed.
