Registered Dental Hygienist - Aava Dental - Escondido, CA

Responsibilities: - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth - Take digital dental x-rays - Conduct oral cancer screenings - Administer local anesthesia to patients as needed - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing materials and instruments - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using dental software (Dentrix) - Follow all infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique in the dental office - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality Requirements: - Valid dental hygienist license in the state of California - Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program - Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including taking vital signs and assisting with procedures - Knowledge of dental terminology and ability to interpret dental records - Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software for record keeping - Strong communication skills to effectively educate and interact with patients - Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of infection control Job Type: Part-time Pay: $48.00 - $57.00 per hour Work Location: In person
