Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Southaven, MS

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Office Assistant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, providing exceptional patient service while managing administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical office experience and be familiar with various electronic health record (EHR) systems, as well as have a solid understanding of dental terminology and medical billing processes. Duties Oversee daily operations of the dental office, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Manage patient scheduling, including appointments, follow-ups, and cancellations using EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Dentrix. Handle medical billing and coding tasks, including CPT coding and ICD-10/ICD-9 documentation review. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients, ensuring accurate information is communicated to the team. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information. Provide clerical support at the front desk, including answering multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette. Assist in training new staff members on office procedures and EHR systems to ensure consistency in operations. Collaborate with dental professionals to develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance overall patient satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting is required; clinic experience is preferred. Familiarity with EHR systems such as Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms is essential. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification processes, and medical coding practices (ICD coding). Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse patient population. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; typing skills are necessary for documentation tasks. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
