Certified Dental Assistant - Salthouse Smiles Pediatric Dentistry - St. Louis, MO

Our vision is to create facilities that increase access to dental care for children and deliver proper education to families in order to treat and prevent oral health disease. We are looking to fill a full-time position (32-40 hours/week) in Des Peres and Wildwood, MO! Salthouse Smiles is looking for someone who is high-energy, positive and works cohesively with the team. Duties - Assist in providing quality dental care to patients - Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient procedures - Take and develop dental radiographs (panos/bitewings/CBCT) - Assist with dental procedures including but not limited to: root canals, pulpotomies, crowns, extractions and resins. - Maintain accurate patient records and update patient charts in software - Schedule patient appointments and manage the front desk as needed - Follow aseptic techniques to ensure infection control and patient safety - Understand patient's insurance and submit dental claims Qualifications - Previous experience as a dental assistant - Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and oral health procedures - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain positive relationships with patients Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
