Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled General Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. As a General Dentist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental services, including examinations, diagnoses, treatment planning, and procedures across a broad spectrum of dental disciplines. Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations and medical history reviews, utilizing dental terminology and medical terminology accurately. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, ensuring clear communication of procedures and expected outcomes. Execute a wide range of general dentistry procedures such as dental restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and dental fabrication. Conduct oral surgery procedures with precision, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Utilize dental imaging technology effectively to diagnose conditions accurately and plan appropriate treatments. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Demonstrate proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and record-keeping. Provide compassionate patient care by educating patients on oral health maintenance, preventive strategies, and post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques that enhance patient comfort and procedural efficiency. Uphold high standards of infection control and sterilization procedures within the clinic environment. Stay current with advancements in dentistry by participating in continuing education opportunities related to pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties as needed. Requirements Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure to practice dentistry without restrictions. Proven experience in general dentistry within a clinical setting; prior dental clinic experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable. Expertise in pediatric dentistry, oral surgeryâincluding dental extractionsâand root canal therapy. Ability to perform complex procedures such as endodontics and prosthodontics with precision and confidence. Excellent communication skills for effective patient assessment and education. Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times.
