Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, including chairside support and patient care, with experience in both general and pediatric dentistry. This role offers an opportunity to work in a well-equipped clinic utilizing advanced dental technology and EMR systems, contributing to exceptional patient outcomes and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. Duties Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, including restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety. Record vital signs and medical history using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Assist with medical imaging documentation and ensure accurate entry of medical records and coding. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health practices. Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks typically handled by a dental receptionist. Support the dental team with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency during procedures. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental assisting. Ensure all clinical areas adhere to infection control standards and safety protocols. Skills Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for documentation and scheduling. Experience with X-ray techniques, including digital imaging and 3D scanners. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records management. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and techniques for working with children. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding processes. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using aseptic techniques while supporting four-handed dentistry. Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies such as advanced imaging equipment or electronic health records systems.
