Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring efficient workflow and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards. Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate positioning and image quality for diagnostic purposes. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and monitoring vital signs during procedures to support efficient clinical operations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions in a clear and compassionate manner. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by following strict infection control protocols and sterilization procedures. Support the dental team with administrative tasks as needed to ensure seamless clinic operations. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics is highly preferred Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners while maintaining safety standards. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Experience with chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and taking vital signs during procedures Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health care needs. Certification in radiography or X-ray technology is required; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or specific specialties are advantageous. A proactive attitude with strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
