Title: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for high-quality patient care by providing chairside support to the dentist during treatment. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of dental health. Duties Prepare patients for treatment and assisting with procedures such as composite restorations, Cerec same-day crowns, root canals, extractions, implants, clear aligner therapy, and fixed/removable prosthodontics. Obtain radiographs and intraoral images as needed for patients Maintain sterilization area and a clean/organized operatory Review patient documentation and medical history to ensure comprehensive care. Utilize dental systems, specifically Eaglesoft for patient scheduling, record keeping, and treatment planning. Collaborate with the dentist and other dental professionals to develop individualized treatment plans. Help in other areas of the office when necessary (i.e., answering phones, unpacking supplies, etc.) Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dental clinic environment, by following strict infection control protocols. Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices to enhance patient care. Requirements Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program with Expanded Functions and dental assisting experience required Proficient in using dental software systems, particularly Eaglesoft or similar platforms is preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients and their families. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
