Overview: The Clinical Director at Smalltown Dental plays a key leadership role in delivering exceptional patient care and driving clinical excellence across all practices. This individual collaborates closely with the CEO, Regional Manager of Hygiene, and broader leadership team to uphold consistency in care, support clinical development, and foster a positive, patient-centered culture. As the Clinical Director, youâll serve as a trusted resource to our doctors and clinical teamsâoffering mentorship, ensuring alignment with clinical protocols, and actively participating in hands-on patient care. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Leadership & Quality Assurance Continue to provide direct patient care to stay connected to clinical workflows and team dynamics. Partner with the CEO, and RM of Hygiene to develop and implement consistent clinical policies and protocols. Oversee clinical standards across all locations through routine chart audits and KPI analysis. Ensure a high and consistent level of care throughout the organization. Identify opportunities to enhance clinical skills among doctors and expand service offerings. Monitor compliance with documentation, radiographic standards, and clinical procedures. Other duties as assigned Performance & Goal Management Conduct regular KPI reviews with leadership, including the RM of Operations and RM of Hygiene. Set, monitor, and support achievement of individual and team goals. Collaborate with doctors and clinical teams to meet performance benchmarks without compromising patient care. Contribute to strategic planning and practice growth through participation in management meetings. Education & Training Serve as a speaker and mentor within Smalltown University courses. Promote ongoing education by ensuring CE opportunities are available and accessible. Collaborate with the Clinical Success Manager to streamline dental materials and systems. Support onboarding and provide clinical training for new team members. Team Culture & Leadership Foster Smalltown Dentalâs relationship-driven culture by building positive connections with clinical teams. Address clinical questions and concerns with empathy and expertise. Serve as a clinical advocate to enhance patient outcomes and team support. Promote community involvement and lead by example through positivity and professionalism. Assist with peer and performance reviews when appropriate. Doctor Leadership & Support Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships among Smalltown Dental doctors. Support seamless doctor transitions and open communication between incoming and existing providers. Help set clear expectations and offer guidance in conflict resolution when needed. Encourage participation in doctor meetings and group treatment planning initiatives.
