Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. You will work closely with dentists and other dental professionals to deliver high-quality hygiene services in a friendly and professional environment. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar. Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health. Follow our infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on assessments. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and team members. Apply aseptic techniques during procedures to minimize the risk of infection. Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency during treatments. Ensure the dental clinic is organized, clean, and equipped with necessary supplies. Skills Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to treatment. Knowledge of infection control procedures and practices within a dental office setting. Proficiency in patient assessment techniques to identify oral health issues. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and information security. Understanding of dental terminology to facilitate effective communication in a clinical environment. Ability to apply aseptic techniques during clinical procedures.
