Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant specializing in Surgical Periodontal procedures to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, support surgical and periodontal treatments, and ensure a smooth patient experience. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and proficiency with electronic health records systems. The Dental Assistant will play a vital part in delivering high-quality dental care within a comprehensive general dentistry practice that emphasizes patient comfort and safety. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during surgical periodontal procedures, including implant placements, tissue grafts, and other surgeries Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control standards Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment plans Qualifications Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while demonstrating excellent communication skills Certification in radiography or X-ray certification is required Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to work effectively within a team environment This position offers an opportunity to grow within a supportive practice dedicated to delivering exceptional dental care through advanced techniques and compassionate service.
