Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in the management of dental office operations, including scheduling appointments and maintaining inventory of dental supplies. Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Ensure all equipment is sterilized and maintained according to safety protocols. Skills Proficient in general dentistry practices and four-handed dentistry techniques. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality. Experience with documentation review, medical coding, and maintaining medical records. Familiarity with Dentrix software for efficient office management. Knowledge of dental terminology and systems to facilitate effective communication within the practice. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members alike.
