Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental hygiene care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and understanding of oral health practices. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Duties Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Utilize medical imaging technologies to assist in diagnosing oral health issues. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment. Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Requirements Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice. Proficiency with dental software such as Open Dental or Dentrix is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control procedures. Familiarity with medical coding practices is a plus. Strong patient assessment skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards.
