Registered Dental Hygienist Dr. Michelle Marconnette, DDS — Phelan, CA We are a well-established private dental practice in Lancaster, serving the community for over 25 years. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team on Fridays. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a comfortable and safe environment. This role involves performing dental cleanings, scaling and root planing, anesthetic placement, patient education, and assisting the dental team in delivering comprehensive care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and exams to assess oral health. Perform Scaling and Root Planing (SRP) and administer anesthetic (must be licensed for anesthetic in CA). Take high-quality digital diagnostic x-rays and assist the dentist during exams. Provide exceptional patient care by addressing concerns, ensuring comfort, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes, in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment. Collaborate with the dental team to enhance the patient experience and clinic efficiency through excellent communication, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. Assist in general dentistry exams and procedures as needed. Laser use is a plus but not required (training available). Skills & Qualifications Current California RDH license in good standing. Proficiency in providing SRP, administering anesthetic, and taking diagnostically accurate digital x-rays. Experience working in a dental office and providing direct patient care. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques, OSHA, and infection control standards. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to educate patients and work effectively with the team. Laser certification is a bonus but not required.
