Being detail oriented, organized, friendly, adaptable, and outgoing are all key qualities needed to succeed as an Registered Dental Hygienist . Responsibilities include: -keeping up with sterilizing instruments as frequently and efficiently as possible -maintaining the following standards for the oral health care of patients on a consistent basis -perio-charting on all patients once a year, along with full mouth photos with intraoral camera -bitewing x-rays taken for cavity checking once a year -full mouth x-rays performed every three (3) years -charting missing teeth and documenting problem areas at each visit -determining patient recall schedule (three, four or six months) -providing a list of the patient’s recommended restorative work, if applicable, to the front office staff for a treatment plan presentation and cost estimate to be presented to the patient before he/she leaves the office. -thoroughly documenting all procedures performed during the course of a patient appointment and all other conversation made in person or on the phone. -updating health history at every visit and documenting any changes or lack thereof in the patient chart. -teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health;(e.g., toothbrushing, flossing and nutritional counseling) * Assisting with miscellaneous responsibilities during schedule lapses. -monitoring inventory supply and assisting with the timely reordering of all hygiene supplies. -restocking operatories and sterilization lab. -handling end-of-day responsibilities for next-day set-up, including trash removal. -maintaining OSHA and HIPAA regulations Minimum 1 years of Dental Hygienist experience Current Radiology & Hygienist license required Possesses a track record for providing outstanding customer service Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Please provide CV or resume.
