Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support overall dental health initiatives. Experience with EMR systems and familiarity with pediatric dentistry are highly valued. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review medical records and documentation for completeness and accuracy. Support infection control procedures through aseptic technique and sterilization protocols. Collaborate with dentists during procedures, providing support in pediatric and general dentistry cases. Ensure compliance with all dental terminology standards and medical coding requirements. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar EMR systems. Experience in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, or both is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and medical terminology. Ability to perform patient care tasks including patient assessment, vital signs measurement, and chairside assisting. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and documentation review processes. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management. Previous experience in dental office or clinic settings is highly desirable.
