Job Overview Come join our growing practice! We are looking for one additional full-time employee for our front desk. We are a very busy, privately owned office. We offer all dental services at our office (oral surgery, implants, IV sedation, endo, ortho, CEREC crowns) and our doctor is very laid back and easy to work with. We have an emphasis on having an enjoyable office culture! Previous dental experience is highly preferred, along with experience in treatment planning and knowledge in billing/insurance. Pay will be based on experience and is something we are open to discussing. We'd love to find a time to chat about this opportunity and have you come meet with us! Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using dental practice management software (Dentrix) Verify insurance benefits and perform insurance eligibility checks utilizing systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy and efficiency Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly Maintain accurate and organized dental records and medical files in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with billing procedures, including medical collection efforts and processing payments using EMR systems like eClinicalWorks or Meditech Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to coding standards such as CPT, ICD-9/10 coding for procedures and diagnoses Support office management tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies Coordinate with dental staff on patient care plans and appointment scheduling to optimize clinic flow Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist within a dental clinic or healthcare setting Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and medical billing procedures Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette in handling patient interactions Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately using tools like Athenahealth or insurance portals Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and office documentation Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Prior clinic experience or healthcare administrative support is preferred; dental office experience is a plus Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 36 per week Work Location: In person
