Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and patient assessment to ensure optimal oral health for our patients. Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. Utilize Eaglesoft and Dentrix software for patient documentation and record management. Assist the dentist with four-handed dentistry techniques during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Monitor vital signs and perform medical imaging as needed to support patient diagnosis and treatment. Maintain accurate medical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring confidentiality of patient information. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and general dentistry concepts. Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care and support chairside assisting as required. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical coding practices relevant to the role. Qualifications Current Registered Dental Hygienist license in good standing. Experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry being a plus. Proficient in using EMR systems for documentation review and patient management. Strong knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on oral health topics. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while providing compassionate care to patients.
