Overview We are seeking a dedicated and whole health minded Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. We are 80% Fee for Service with only 20% PPO patients being In-network with Delta Dental premier. Excellent pay with $55-58 an hour and a chance to earn even more with production based compensation. Employee will earn higher of the hourly wage or production percentage. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and familiarity with modern dental software systems. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on providing exceptional dental care to patients of all ages, with very limited pediatric dentistry. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for performing preventive and therapeutic oral health services while ensuring compliance with all safety and infection control protocols. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing procedures to maintain oral health. Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review, to ensure safe treatment planning. Take Full Mouth series and limited X-Rays and Cone Beam CT scans using appropriate aseptic techniques. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies. Document patient information accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Open Dental Review medical records and documentation for completeness and accuracy in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain infection control standards by adhering to sterilization protocols and aseptic techniques. Support Holistic General dentistry procedures and collaborate with dentists to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding practices. Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration. Ability to perform clinical duties efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient safety and comfort. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology relevant to dental practice.
