As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. You will screen patients, perform dental cleanings, and assist the dentists with exams and procedures. Responsibilities Core Duties and responsibilities, include but are not limited to: Prepares patient for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing, seating, and draping patient. Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments. Arrests dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity- preventing agents. Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions; providing reminders of time of next dental hygiene visit. Documents dental hygiene services by recording vital signs and medical and dental histories; charting in patient records. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Qualifications Completion of a Dental Hygienist Course at an accredited college or university Current Dental Hygienist License, X-ray license, CPR Card, and coronal polishing certification. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines Excellent communication and customer service skills
