Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while performing a variety of clinical tasks to support the overall health and wellness of our patients. This role requires proficiency in dental hygiene practices, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing procedures while ensuring patient comfort. Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing oral health issues. Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow for the dentist. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Stay current with dental terminology, general dentistry practices, and pediatric dentistry techniques. Experience Candidates should possess: Experience with Eaglesoft and Dentrix software systems is preferred. Background in pediatric dentistry and four-handed dentistry is advantageous. Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding is beneficial. Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is required. Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation review processes is essential.
