You'll help prepare treatment rooms, assist with x-rays, and ensure patients feel comfortable during their visits. Your role will directly impact our office operations, compliance, and public image. Key Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during treatment procedures for children Escort patients to and from the treatment rooms Take and develop dental x-rays Complete polishing & sealant procedures without guidance. Assist with opening and closing of the back office as scheduled Ask patients about their medical history, take vital signs, and record data Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in treatment rooms and sterilize equipment Help patients feel at ease before, during, and after treatment Provide follow-up instructions and help schedule next appointments Handle emergencies by following established policies Participate in daily team huddles, meetings, and workshops Maintain and update patient charts and records Monitor and maintain office inventory, ensuring minimal waste Protect patient confidentiality at all times Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant CPR certification and a valid state driver's license Some Pediatric Dental Assisting (Preferred) Strong computer skills, with familiarity with Dentrix Enterprise (preferred) Success Factors: We're looking for team members who are: Passionate about patient care and have a pleasant, professional demeanor Able to handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy Strong communicators with excellent follow-through Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Comfortable working with children and adults Skilled in taking dental x-rays and following safety protocols Work Environment: This is a full-time role that requires flexibility, including varied hours and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
