The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and comfort. The position requires a commitment to infection control, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Duties Perform a wide range of general dentistry procedures including examinations, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics. Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and explain procedures clearly to patients. Utilize dental imaging techniques and interpret results to diagnose oral health issues. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Execute infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient care efficiency. Manage dental fabrication processes as needed for crowns, bridges, or other prosthetic devices. Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, and other specialties to provide comprehensive care. Adhere to all dental terminology standards and medical documentation requirements for legal and clinical purposes. Ensure the proper use of medical terminology during patient interactions and recordkeeping. Qualifications DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school. Valid state license to practice dentistry. Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable. Experience in general dentistry with a strong foundation in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and infection control practices. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical imaging techniques. Demonstrated ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other complex procedures confidently. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to patient assessment and education. Ability to work efficiently within a team environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management.
