EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Performs dental screenings and examinationsPlace dental sealants, SDF, and fluoride varnish treatmentsPromote healthy habits that empower students and familiesProvide engaging oral health education to children in an assembly settingServes as dental health resource person for nursing staff.Assists with the preparation of dental health educational materials. Keeps and maintains oral health records and makes appropriate referrals. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Knowledge of the principles and consultative techniques of dental hygiene.Knowledge of the methods and techniques involved in dental prophylaxis and fluoridation.Knowledge of Tennessee dental laws and regulations.Knowledge of the aims and services of a dental health program.
