Our private practice is looking for a compassionate experienced orthodontic assistant to join our team! We are a locally owned family orthodontic practice providing quality care for 30+ years. You will work directly with orthodontists and experienced assistants to provide patient centered dental care. You will become part of a caring team of dental professionals in our successful private practice. Our practice strives to provide excellent care and service. Some of your responsibilities will be: We are seeking a qualified individual with the following: Several years of experience as an orthodontic chair side assistant Can take patient accurate records including x-rays, scans and pictures Be able to take accurate impressions Ensures a positive patient experience and quality care each day Educates patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic treatment Assists with sterilization and stocking inventory Supports team members without hesitation Assist management with special projects as needed Desire to learn and grow as an assistant Qualifications: 3+ years of working as an orthodontic assistant for an orthodontic specialist Enjoy interacting with patients and staff in a fast paced quality driven clinic Knowledge of bracket types, wires, treatment techniques, appliances and their function RDA and CPR certification Strong communication skills when interacting with our patients, parents and staff Computer skills working with dental software and being able to record all aspects of patient care Ability to prioritize and multitask Willing to take on specific projects Detail oriented and the ability to follow through with assigned responsibilities Consideration will also be given to applicants that have 5+ years of General Dental Assisting or Pediatric Assisting experience who want to transition to Orthodontics Benefits on this job listing are for Full-Time Employment. Starting wage will be based on your experience and training as an orthodontic assistant. No remote work. Weekly travel between two locations in Tarrant County is required.
