Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Conroe, TX
Job Summary We are seeking a part-time one day a week (Friday) dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. We are not a corporate office but locally owned and operated office that treats each team member as family. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing dental cleanings, and srp's. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and patient assessment techniques. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to ensure a comfortable and efficient patient experience while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical records documentation standards. This position is for one day a week on Friday. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent oral disease. Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates. . Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history and current health status. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Maintain strict infection control standards using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Review medical records and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy before procedures. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current credentials. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and medical terminology. Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and team collaboration. Prior experience in dental office or clinic settings is highly desirable.
