Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Anchorage, AK
Dental Assistant We are looking for a competent dental assistant who is looking for long term employment and a great working environment. Most of our employees have been with us over 10 years. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail and patient care. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures run as smooth as possible. Hospital experience or credentialing preferred, but not required as we can get you credentialed once hired. Responsibilities Prepare patients for treatment ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Schedule appointments Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods. Sterilize instruments according to regulations Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to take x-rays and dental impressions for crown and bridge treatment Good computer skills, preferably Dentrix computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Well-organized and reliable, attention to detail High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Additional certification or training is an asset Benefit Conditions: Waiting period may apply Only full-time employees eligible Duties: Assisting chair-side Taking records, impressions, or x-rays Using computers to update electronic patient records Assisting with lab tasks as needed Assisting with front office tasks as needed Dental Specialty: Endodontics Oral and Maxillofacial Pediatric Dentistry Prosthodontics Work Remotely No Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
