Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional dental care. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use. Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize dental software such as Curve for scheduling appointments and managing patient records. Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, adhering to safety protocols. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after treatments to ensure their safety and comfort. Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes, assisting in creating accurate dental models. Provide support to the dental receptionist as needed, including managing patient inquiries and scheduling follow-up appointments. Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and the treatment area in accordance with infection control protocols. Experience Previous experience working in a dental office is a must have. Familiarity with medical records management systems, specifically Curve, is advantageous. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is essential to maintain patient confidentiality. Experience with general dentistry practices and four-handed dentistry techniques is a plus. Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding basic medical terminology will be beneficial. A willingness to learn new technologies such as 3D scanning equipment is highly desirable.
