General Dentist – Pediatric Office | Bakersfield, CA Full-Time or Part-Time Opportunity A well-established pediatric-focused dental office in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a friendly, patient-centered General Dentist to join our growing team. This position is open to both full-time and part-time candidates, and new graduates with an interest in pediatrics are encouraged to apply. Our ideal candidate is open to working in a pediatric environment—previous experience with children is a plus, but not required . You will be supported by a rotating team of assistants, ensuring you always have help chairside. Compensation Structure: Daily Base: $800–$900/day to start (flexible depending on experience). Compensation Model: Begin on a daily base , then transition to percentage of production after an initial period. Insurance & Payor Mix: Majority Medi-Cal (state insurance). Some PPO accepted. No HMO. Schedule: Open to Full-Time or Part-Time. Full-Time: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM. (Hours may shift slightly later in the future). Part-Time: Flexible, ideally Monday–Tuesday or Thursday–Friday (same hours). Clinical Scope: The doctor will focus on pediatric general dentistry. The following procedures are referred out : Implants. Periodontics. Oral Surgery. Endodontics. Orthodontics. Office Information: Team: 6 team members currently (actively hiring additional staff). Assistants: Rotating assistants—doctor will never work without support. Operatories: 4 treatment rooms. 6 open-bay hygiene chairs. Technology: Open Dental EHR; limited specialty equipment due to the nature of pediatric care. Benefits: 401(k) offered after a period of employment.
