Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Denver, CO

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our busy dental practice. This role combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical administrative skills, proficiency with dental and electronic health record systems, and excellent communication abilities. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verifications, and handle billing procedures including medical collection and coding Maintain accurate and complete patient records in EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments and ensuring sterilization protocols are followed Educate patients on treatment plans, post-operative care, and dental terminology Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including CPT, ICD-9/10 coding, and care plans Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette and handle inquiries efficiently Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing medical records Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information Support clinic operations through clerical support, including appointment reminders and follow-up calls Qualifications Prior experience as a Dental Assistant or Medical Receptionist in a clinical setting; dental office experience preferred Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Meditech is advantageous Knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT), and insurance billing processes Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management systems Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members; bilingual abilities are a plus Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical office management best practices Strong customer service orientation with professional phone etiquette and clerical support experience This role is integral to delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining efficient clinic operations.
