Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing the necessary instruments and materials. Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Prepare treatment rooms by following aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary. Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring that young patients feel comfortable and at ease during their visits. Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries as needed. Skills Proficient in dental assisting techniques with a strong understanding of dental terminology. Familiarity with dental software systems. Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile working environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
