We are a new modern orthodontic office looking for an orthodontic clinical assistant. Our office is up to date with the latest technology, designed with the patientâs experience in mind. Description Job Summary Clinical Assisting Delivery of Patient Care; Taking Dental X-rays; Treatment Documentation; Sterilization Procedures; Patient Education and Motivation; Practice Promotion; Laboratory Duties; Miscellaneous Duties; Administrative cross training Clinical Duties: Perform the duties of a clinical assistant as needed Managing Clinic Flow Communicate with clinical staff and front office regarding patients Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment Prepare dental materials Greet and seat patients Evaluate patient oral hygiene and cooperation Take dental x-rays, scan patients, take photos Prepare teeth for bonding Assist the doctor with bonding Place and remove separators, fit bands Initial seating of appliances Remove, size and place archwires Clean, sterilization/disinfection, and re-circulate instruments Manage OSHA protocols Manage sterilization protocols Maintain treatment area and units Record all procedures and correspondence in treatment card Patient Management: Encourage, educate, and motivate patients to follow treatment recommendations Educate parents and patients on treatment progress P ractice Building: Coordinate with internal/external practice efforts Monthly staff meetings Morning and Evening huddles Work cohesively with fellow team members to provide an atmosphere of trust, mutual respect, and cooperation Education / Experience: State License: Registered Dental Assistant X-ray certification CPR certification Skills / Abilities: Organization Communication Computer Hand/Eye Dexterity Schedule: Monday 9am-5pm Tuesday 8am-6pm Friday 8am-5pm (1) Saturday per month 8am-1pm 1 hour lunch Benefits: Paid sick time off Paid holidays We look forward to meeting with you!
