Hours: Full time: TUESDAY - THURSDAY 7:50-5:30PM // FRIDAY - 7:50-2:30PM One SATURDAY & one MONDAY a month as needed We are a fast growing, patient centered, KIDS dental practice located in Glen Burnie, MD. We are looking to hire a personable dental assistant! Essential/required attributes: Energetic and must love working with children Great customer service and positive personality Quick problem solver and able to multi-task Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology Bilingual required Job Responsibilities: Sterilize equipment: Clean and disinfect dental tools and instruments Prepare patients: Welcome patients, seat them, and comfort them Walking the patients to the front desk Cleaning & Prepare exam rooms: Follow prescribed procedures and protocols Charting: Recording treatment information in the patient chart Assist with procedures: Help with fillings, crowns, and extractions Assist Dental Hygienists Take dental impressions: Create impressions of patients' teeth Perform post-procedure clean-up: Dry patients' mouths with suction hoses Provide information: Answer questions and requests from patients and employees Process x-rays: Take and care for dental x-ray equipment Manage records: Keep records of dental treatments Schedule appointments: Schedule patient appointments Work with billing: Work with patients on billing and payment Educate patients: Teach patients about oral health, plaque control, and dental hygiene Assist with emergencies: Assist dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies This position will be trained to complete basic Receptionist tasks: Answer phone calls Register a new patient Verify insurance This is a position with long-term employment potential and we're looking for someone interested in long-term employment. Having experience with a dental office is a plus, but not required. (If you have just completed dental assistant training and x-ray certification, this might be for you!)
