Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression. Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as OPEN DENTAL Verify insurance coverage and benefits , handle insurance claims and follow-up on outstanding balances. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including updating personal information and collecting co-payments. Maintain accurate dental records and medical documentation, review intake forms, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; address patient inquiries promptly and professionally. * Support office management tasks like filing medical records, organizing documentation review processes, and maintaining office supplies. Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely appointment scheduling. Qualifications Prior experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; ability to navigate multiple software platforms efficiently. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes.
