Our office is looking for a motivated Dental Hygienist to join our team! You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. Excellent customer service and attention to detail are required for this position. Experience with softdent is helpful. In addition, you will be working in an environment with state-of-the-art technology that is always evolving to provide the most current and effective care to our patients. This position is for 2 days a week (Between Monday to Thursday) from 8:00-5:00. Compensation: Competitive Compensation. Salary is commensurate with experience. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible during their appointment Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Undertake lab tasks as instructed Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Check, verify and update patientâs medical history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis and educate patients on their oral conditions and recommended treatments Clean and help protect patientsâ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Perform the duties of a dental hygienist, prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, radiographs,intraoral photos, etc... Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays or dental impressions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Assist dentist with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain accurate documentation and charts on each patient Requirements and skills NEW Grads welcome. Registered Dental Hygienist licensure in state of practice Current CPR certification A patient and friendly personality Excellent interpersonal skills Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Proven dedication to provide high quality, comprehensive dental care Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations (OSHA and HIPAA) in order to maintain a clean and safe working environment Strong working knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and practices Ability to administer local anesthetic Ability to do Scaling and Root planning, perio maintenances and laser.
