We offer benefits to all full-time team members after the intro period, including: Medical insurance Dental benefits Voluntary life, vision, and disability insurance 401k Paid time off Holiday pay Bonuses for ancillary services and goals met Responsibilities Chart and document clinical findings Educate patients about their periodontal health Administer anesthetic for SRP or sensitive patients (including N2O) Periodontal therapy and routine hygiene care Application of Fluoride and sealants Laser procedures (certification provided) SDF application (certification provided) Digital X-rays and I/Os Sterilization and asepsis, including instruments, equipment and rooms Discuss existing treatment plans with patients Share findings with your attending dentist for treatment planning and case presentation Scheduling recare appointments to ensure continuity of care Meet the standard of care, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements Comfortable with Dentrix or similar dental practice software Educate patients of all ages on proper oral homecare Evaluate for pathology, such as gingivitis, periodontitis, caries and failing existing restorations Keep detailed records of each patientâs visit Update patient health history and periodontal chart annually Requirements: Qualifications Compassionate and patient-centered Has active CO dental hygienist license without restrictions Excellent communication and diagnostic skills Reliable, upbeat, and knowledgeable Ability to diagnose and treat periodontal disease Current CPR/BLS Licensed to administer anesthetic Understanding of HIPAA/OSHA Diode Laser certification is preferred but not required Associateâs degree and certification in dental hygiene program required, higher levels of education are highly valued Capable of standing all day to assist patients About New Day Dentistry Since the opening of our very first private practice in 2007, New Day Dentistry has enjoyed the reputation of offering quality dental treatment and compassionate care to our patients at an affordable cost.
