Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position involves assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a safe and sterile environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and various dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Record vital signs and maintain accurate medical records for each patient. Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Operate 3D scanners for imaging as needed in various dental procedures. Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to young patients and their families. Assist in medical coding for insurance purposes, ensuring proper documentation is maintained. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Experience Candidates should possess prior experience in a dental clinic setting, demonstrating familiarity with essential skills such as: Taking vital signs and understanding their significance in dental care. Proficient use of X-ray equipment and knowledge of safety protocols. Understanding of medical records management and medical coding practices. Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus but not required. Knowledge of infection control standards specific to dental practices is essential.
