Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Austin, TX

Our dental office is busy and growing with a need for a dedicated assistant to work with our dentists and hygienists to provide exemplary dental care for our patients. Our ideal candidate has 3 years of dental practice experience in an assisting role, has a current RDA license, and is excellent at customer service, organization, and communication skills. Compensation: $28 - $30 hourly Responsibilities: Adhere to all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use Prepare and layout sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials inside treatment rooms for examinations and dental procedures Measure and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patientsâ mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if needed Welcome patient and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during their appointment Help dentists and dental hygienists during procedures or examinations by providing suction, handing off dental instruments, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team Manage the back office, including other staff, supplies, workflow systems, lab cases, patient treatment plans, and other duties as needed or required Qualifications: Current BLS/CPR certification is required Experience with dental software, updating patient histories, and computer skills are needed An Associateâs Degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required Minimum 3 years of dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant State licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) About Company At Aspire Dental we value a positive, friendly, and cooperative work environment.
