Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both general and pediatric dentistry, with a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures. This role involves providing chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a sterile environment in accordance with infection control protocols. Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Take and develop X-rays using appropriate medical imaging techniques. Utilize EMR systems such as Open dental for accurate patient documentation and record-keeping. Conduct vital signs assessments and maintain accurate medical records. Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients. Operate 3D scanners for advanced imaging when necessary. Manage dental reception duties, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to assist with documentation processes. Requirements Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent experience in a dental clinic setting. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Experience with chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform medical documentation accurately, including medical records management. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is preferred; experience in pediatrics is a plus.
