Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while adhering to all health and safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient education, and effective communication skills. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages. Assess and document patient oral health status, including periodontal assessments. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Conduct infection control procedures in accordance with established protocols. Collaborate with dentists and other dental staff to provide comprehensive care. Review documentation and maintain accurate patient records in the dental office system. Utilize medical imaging technology as needed for diagnostics. Requirements Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and hygiene practices. Experience in a dental clinic setting preferred, with familiarity in pediatrics being a plus. Proficiency in dental assisting tasks is advantageous. Understanding of infection control standards and practices within the dental field. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
