Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental team for a part-time position on Fridays from 9 am to 5 pm. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and familiarity with modern dental software systems. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning and polishing teeth, while ensuring patient comfort and safety Take and record vital signs, medical history, and medical imaging as needed for comprehensive patient assessment Assist in patient education regarding oral hygiene practices and treatment plans Utilize dental software for documentation review, charting, and medical records management Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information Review medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide seamless patient care in general dentistry settings Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to infection control protocols and OSHA standards Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing Proven experience in dental office or clinic settings, including pediatric dentistry preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures Ability to perform vital signs assessment, medical imaging, and patient care effectively Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology necessary for accurate record keeping This position is integral to providing exceptional dental care while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
