Dental Assistant - Del Ray Dental Center - Arlington, VA

We are a general dental office located in Arlington VA, looking for a motivated candidate to join our amazing team. We are looking for an individual who is 100% punctual with a great work ethic and trustworthiness. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your main responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures and ensuring the comfort of our patients. If you have a passion for dentistry and excellent patient care, we would love to hear from you. Office hours are 8:00am-5:00pm Monday- Fridays 8:00am-4:00pm. Minimum of 2 year previous experience is required, as well as basic computer skills and Dentrix knowledge. Responsibilities: - Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits. - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing instruments, materials, taking x-rays and scanning. - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures. - Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment. - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care. - Perform patient assessments, including taking medical histories and recording any allergies or pre-existing conditions. - Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality. Experience: - Candidate must have dental assistant and X-ray certificate. - 1 year minimum previous experience as a dental assistant is required. - Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
