Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Kenosha, WI

Pillar Health, A Division of Kenosha Community Health Center, is looking for Seasonal Dental Assistants for its School Based Programs. No prior experince required for this position. All necessary training will be provided. POSITION SUMMARY Provides Support to Dental Hygienists, delivering preventative services (dental sealants, floride varnish, oral health education) in local schools. This role emphasizes infection control, equipment preparation, patient flow, and data entry. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Set up and break down portable dental equipment for school based sealant programs. Maintain infection control standards (disinfecting, sterilizing instruments, disposing of biohazard waste). Seat children, explain procedure in age-appropriate terms, and obtain consent/medical history paperwork. Chart basic information and assist with data entry into state reporting systems. Support Dental Hygienist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and managing materials. Provide oral hygiene instructions and distribute educational materials to children and families. Track supplies and communicate needs to program coordinator. Follow HIPAA and FERPA requirements for confidentiality of student information. Other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education Minimum of 1 year experience in dental assisting position preferred. Ability to communicate in Spanish (oral and written)preferred Must be current on all ACIP immunizations & PPD status Must maintain BLS Certification (training provided on site) WORK SCHEDULE This is a seasonal position that follows the KUSD school calendar. Assignment Dates: September 15, 2025 - December 12, 2025, and January 26, 2026 - May 1, 2026 Typical Schedule: 2-3 days per week, between the hours of 7:00am - 3:00pm (not to exceed these hours).
